This is an area (on page optimization) that seems to either ignite curiosity or snowball confusion. Everyone wants to know the magic formula and apply it perfectly, and rightfully so.

Though there's "no such thing as perfectly optimized or perfect on-page SEO", states Rand Fishkin of Moz, there is a basic model you can follow — and visual references help bridge the gap.

There's just too many excellent SEO infographics out there already to create my own. So, here are 3 of the best I've found that you'll want to keep handy as you work through your On Page SEO.

What I like about this On Page SEO infographic:

  • Shows references of data (see very bottom)

  • Highlights loading speed (a sometimes overlooked aspect of SEO)

  • Recommends putting the targeted keyword within the first 100 words

  • Easy to reference by focusing on just 12 factors

2. Moz

Moz's "Perfectly Optimized" Page

What I like about this On Page SEO infographic:

  • Addresses UX (which most SEO infographics don't mention)

  • Articulates how On Page SEO specifically applies to certain elements for MarysBakery.com (Title Tag, URL, Content, etc.)

  • Points out some technical SEO factors like "Bot Accessible"
